clarity act

the CLARITY ACT could spell out how crypto tokens are classified instead of assuming they’re securities, it could be treated as commodities. that opens a safer path for real companies and startups to come onchain without getting stuck in legal limbo. for long time crypto has struggled to call or treat a token like a security or equity & additionally, distribute profit amidst token holders. 

CLARITY could also mean that we’ll see more interesting token mechanisms being tried out. right now, experimentation is held back because there’s too much uncertainty about which rules apply. once clarity is there, builders can experiment boldly.
